Abstract
As an invisible physical element in space, sound is an important perceptual factor for people to perceive space. In the quantitative study of soundscape visualization, sound field simulation was used to rebuild the construction system of historical blocks. For example, due to the limitation of computer technology development in the 1960s, researchers recorded by hand drawing. With the development of sound field simulation technology, sound energy is displayed by visual color images. The software can not only simulate the space field but also predict the sound field in different spaces. Shilin is the most representative commercial block in Taiwan, and it has a unique night market trading mode. The local arcade space is part of the urban public pedestrian space, which enables people to perceive a more complex sound field environment in their walking experience. This study wants to analyze people's perception of the basic spatial unit of the street canyon and combined it with the analysis of the influence factor of the acoustic field, such as building height, the presence of buildings, shutter height, and building density. This research simulates and analyzes the basic scale street canyon space of urban streets and explores the systematic method of reconstruction of Shilin Historic District in Taipei.
