Abstract
As one of the most important cognitive modalities for blind people, meeting and ensuring efficient tactile cognitive learning for blind people is socially essential. This study aims to investigate the design of digital art products for the blind based on the perspective of emotional interaction and to improve the tactile, emotional cognition of the blind. Based on the theory of “emotional interaction” in cognitive psychology and the research method of design psychology, we introduced art and design to develop tactile cognitive art product design for the blind. Through 3D printing technology, we transformed two-dimensional flat information into different three-dimensional recognizable cognitive learning interface styles and used different blind reading and exhibition methods to improve the tactile cognition and art appreciation of blind people. The results show that 3D printing technology is innovative and sustainable in improving the emotional cognition of blind people and broadening the design style of artworks. Based on the modern technology development of a new tactile cognitive art interface for blind people, it serves the new era of cultural learning for blind people and provides design ideas and empirical references for developing artworks for blind people.
