Abstract

Education plays a fundamental role in social mobility and equal opportunities. However, after two years of a pandemic, the differences between the students are bigger. Traditional education has always been given to all without taking into account the cognitive and intellectual differences of the students. Nonetheless, the task of making individual material or detecting these differences is not trivial for the teachers. A quote that appears on the Plan and study programs section on the Mexico City Government website exemplifies the above: “In this sense, the teacher assumes a role of companion in the process of discovery, exploration, and development of the possibilities of their students” [5]. This implies that teachers have a great responsibility. Yet, it is difficult for them to achieve this function because there are several factors that affect their work. In this article, we seek to delve into two elements, which are currently having a great presence in educational centers: we will refer to the irruption of mobile technologies in classrooms and to the theory of multiple intelligences. The fundamental part of this work will consist of the research, development and creation of the prototype of an educational app developed based on its applicability and relevance. In this way, we take into account the user profile and their needs.
