Abstract
Drone-based commodity delivery has become a possible solution for future delivery problems, as evidenced by increasing success in commercial fields. This is due to the increasing demand for efficient delivery services, as well as the inability of current ground-based systems to guarantee availability and delivery time. However, given that urban cities will house 65% of the world's population by 2050, the logistics industry must also consider future city issues such as insufficient transportation capacity [1]. A considerate amount of work has already been done so far to improve the design, speed, operational range, and security of delivery drones, among other things. However, only a little work has gone into ensuring a complete and reliable delivery from senders to the recipient’s hand. In this paper, we propose a decentralized framework for verification and authentication of the users, that ensures a completely secure and trustworthy delivery exploiting a do-it-yourself autonomous quadcopter drone.
