Social Media Marketing for Educational Purposes: Goals, Objectives and Content of the Training Course

Abstract

In the context of the coronavirus pandemic, the professional activity of each educator has changed towards the use of Internet resources, namely social media. The article describes the goals, objectives and content of the training course for advanced training system for academic staff of Higher Educational of the Republic of Uzbekistan which revealed the specifics of using strategies and tools of Social Media Marketing (SMM) for educational purposes. Based on answers of the online survey of 105 academic staff who have completed advanced training in the use of SMM for educational purposes, the effectiveness of the “Educational SMM” training course was shown.
