Abstract

Chronotanatodiagnosis is the set of observations and techniques that allow indicating the time interval in which the death process has most likely occurred. The estimation of this interval, known as PMI (post-mortem interval), is perhaps one of the most complicated tasks in forensic medicine.

The support of computer tools available to a forensic pathologist in our country to date death is scarce or null in some cases. In this article, we present the development of a prototype of a comprehensive database system (SIBDaCAr) that could help establishing the PMI and that can be used in the context of our country.
