Abstract

With the aim of proposing a personalized training method for walking to maintain the health of elderly people, we employed mixed reality (MR) technology and recreated a person’s gait in real space and time using HoloLens as they walked freely based on the skeletal coordinates identified via IMU motion capture suit. It is made in such a way that users could perform movements, such as walking, while visually confirming their projected postures and allowed for projecting individual posture characteristics of the free movements unique to each person. The results of the experiment showed that by using our proposed system, the swaying of head and lateral difference in shoulder height were reduced while walking.
