Research on the Design of College Students’ Offline Social Products Based on AIO Model

Abstract

This study aims to investigate, using the AIO model, the characteristic of offline social interactions among university students and to offer recommendations for the development of products that encourage university students to engage in offline activities. Semi-structured interviews with college students were employed in the study. Based on the information provided in the interviews, sensitive factors pertaining to university students’ offline social activities were taken from the AIO scale. The lifestyle traits of university students who participated in offline social activities were then determined through qualitative and quantitative assessments of the variables. We created a mental model of the students based on the research findings and spoke about how to design this kind of product. The final section of this essay collects the life form traits of college students’ offline social interactions and suggests design thinking for this kind of product in terms of both function and emotion using a mental model.
