Abstract

The work aims to propose the transdisciplinary teaching and learning in summer camp by service design, and try to find a way out of the dilemma. There are two main problems in the dilemma, the first one is valuing traveling more than delivering knowledge, the second one is the lack of interaction between trainer and trainee, and the third one is results float to the surface. In order to cultivate a group of outstanding talents with innovative entrepreneurial ability, cross-border integration ability, and humanities and arts literacy who can keep pace up with the times and solve social problems in the new era, some service design tools and methods such as service blueprint, co-creation and service design thinking are introduced and applied, including making trainees be more involved in learning through co-creation, and making trainers be easier guide to solve problems pertinently with the help of service blueprint. Finally, two design turns of transdisciplinary teaching and learning were illustrated through the exploration and practice in summer camp by service design, the one is paying more attention on enabling than traveling around, the other one is focusing on more coaching than delivering skills.
