Abstract
Class break space is a potentially promising informal learning environment for both integrating formal and informal learning using Virtual Reality and supporting student self-regulated learning in art and design higher education contexts. The purpose of this paper is to (a) review research that support this claim, (b) conceptualize the connection breaking time, Virtual Reality, and self-regulated learning, and (c) provide a informal learning framework for using Virtual Reality to create between class that support student self-regulated learning. Implications a natural transition for connecting formal and informal learning for future research in this area are provided.
