Abstract
To confront the global warming crisis, reducing greenhouse gas emission amounts is an important issue for electrical power providers. However, understanding the business model and characteristics of power sources simultaneously is quite difficult. The authors designed a new Gaming Simulation called the “Power Mix Game (PMG)” to provide opportunities for understanding electrical power generation business operations. The game was evaluated at two schools in 2021: 50 students participated. According to a comparison of responses given to questionnaires before and after playing, PMG has been demonstrated as an effective learning tool. Using PMG for learning can lead to better consensus for issues that have divided people and the power supply industry.
