Abstract

In the post-epidemic era, the adoption of isolation measures, remote care, and remote learning and work has become the new norm. These significant changes and the accompanying stresses have led to a rise in psychological issues among individuals in modern society. Consequently, the objective of this study was to design an interactive e-book focused on mental health education. The research methodology employed involved referencing the immersive experience scale and conducting pre-test and post-test questionnaires to evaluate the participants’ experiential perceptions. The primary aim of this study was to investigate the impact of immersive experiences in interactive electronic picture books. Additionally, the feasibility of incorporating interactive electronic graphics into the realm of medical and health education was explored.

This research highlights the significance of enhancing public awareness and understanding of depression among adolescents. The development of an interactive e-book has proven to be an effective tool for individuals to acquire knowledge about depression and cultivate empathy and support. The inclusion of interactive reading elements enhances the sense of immersion. Further research can delve into the broader implications of interactive e-books and similar interventions in the field of mental health education. The findings of this study also offer valuable insights into the application of interactive electronic graphics and digital tools in the context of medical and health education.
