Abstract
In order to address the problem of children’s interest in learning to read and recognise Chinese characters, which is caused by the boring teaching and the uniform practice of writing, the theory of interactive teaching aids is proposed, which takes into account the diversity of educational methods and the flexibility of teaching methods. By incorporating interactive, experiential and educational features into children’s interactive educational aids, we use questionnaires and surveys to understand the current educational market for children’s educational interactive products related to Chinese characters, and analyse and optimise them, so that we can develop and integrate our thinking and adopt an interactive design for children that is consistent with the teaching of Chinese characters. The design of a teaching aid with an interactive experience and a novel learning method is proposed for children aged 3–6. The starting point is to dismantle the Chinese character strokes and pinyin, to make learning Chinese characters fun, to allow children to learn the art of Chinese character culture through product interaction, to receive a lot of information about Chinese character strokes, colours and space, to subvert the traditional Chinese character teaching and to enhance children’s hands-on and logical thinking skills.
