Abstract

The study of transport optimization problems is significant in modern societies. One of these is the Employee Shuttle Bus Routing Problem. This problem is very similar to the School Bus Routing Problem in the context of school transportation. This paper presents a fuzzy mathematical model, developed for the School Bus Routing Problem, which is used to solve a practical case of the Employee Shuttle Bus Routing Problem for CUJAE University executives. The results confirm that fuzzy optimization can be successfully used in the Employee Shuttle Bus Routing Problem. The results allow the decision-makers to evaluate a set of solutions with different trade-offs in terms of the total cost of the routes and the degree of fulfillment of the constraint of the problem.
