Abstract

Under the impetus of new-generation information technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence and the industrial internet, the world is accelerating its transition into the digital economy era. In 2021, China articulated its Digital China Strategy, aiming to digitize and make intelligent, driving economic growth and societal progress in China. "Data" as a crucial production factor plays a paramount role in the development of the digital economy. The capability and level of data asset management will largely determine the extent of data utilization and the release of data value. Against this backdrop, an increasing number of enterprises are incorporating data asset management into their strategic plans. Metadata forms the foundation of data asset management and serves as a crucial cornerstone in other related areas. This article introduces the basic situation about data assets in civil aviation information field and explores how metadata plays a role in data asset management within the civil aviation information sector.
