Abstract

In the era of digital transformation and automation, cybersecurity has become a critical concern in various sectors, including dairy farming. As dairy farms increasingly adopt cyber-physical systems, understanding and mitigating relevant cyber threats is paramount. This work identifies typical cyber-physical systems in a dairy farm and their interconnections to analyze potential cyber threats and risks. Regarding cyber risk, the farm management system is the most critical system of the dairy farm IT-OT infrastructure. This study provides insights into the relatively underexplored cybersecurity domain in dairy farming, establishing a foundation for future research and evidence-based policy development in this vital food production sector.
