Abstract

The lithography industry has experienced significant changes and significant growth in the market in recent years, driven by technological advances and specific demands from various sectors, as well as the increase in international trade and the search for new clients in the face of unstable local markets. After the Covid-19 pandemic. In international trade, supplier selection is critical to guarantee quality, availability, efficiency, and security in commercial operations, specifically in the lithography industry, where sensitive materials and products are handled. Therefore, developing models for choosing safe suppliers is essential to entering and remaining in markets as competitive as international ones. This paper proposes a novel hybrid approach that integrates F-AHP, DEMATEL, and TOPSIS techniques for selecting suppliers that facilitate compliance with standards for Secure International Commerce in the lithography industry supply chain. To this end, the methodological approach consisted first of applying the fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (F-AHP) to determine the weights of the criteria and sub-criteria under conditions of uncertainty. Next, the Decision-Making Evaluation and Testing Laboratory (DEMATEL) was used to establish the main influencers in selecting suppliers for safe trade. Finally, the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) was implemented to identify weaknesses that affect secure trade in the supply chain. The proposed approach was validated with a case study in the lithography industry. The main findings reveal that “Quality”, “Economy”, and “Management certifications” are essential factor, and the most influential criteria are “Management certifications” and “Quality”.
