Abstract

The research problem in this case study is to test a business focused approach to business process modelling as a foundation for the specification of an information architecture. The approach should be based on a common background and a good mutual understanding between practitioners from the business and the analyst, both for the modelling process itself and as a precondition for a valid model. In the case study some guidelines are explored to find the essential process model reflecting the general specifics of the business sector and the position of the individual company in the market.
