Abstract
The following paper is a continuation of the topic of spatial data generation. The idea is to be able to create customisable sets of spatial layers for further use in simulation and testing of GIS systems’ behaviour. Since the test data for a specific GIS implementation is not always available, a special generator is being developed and this article will focus on the latest results, which is a generation of synthetic geometries that could represent e.g. rail tracks or rivers related to already existing map features. The process is supported by a graph database and its mechanisms. The other goal of the article is to give a current status update and to group all tasks and ideas for the future research.
