Definition
Spatial visualization was defined by McGee (1979) as “the ability to mentally rotate, manipulate, and twist two- and three-dimensional stimulus objects” (p. 896). Although, better visualization skills can be achieved through childhood education and skill training, researches show it is still possible to train spatial visualization skills with various types of exercises in adults. It is not a new idea to use educational games and computer software in the education and teaching of spatial skills (Wells 2003; Uttal et al. 2013; Anderson et al. 2003; Kaufmann et al. 2000). Researches show it is possible to use VR/AR platforms to improve visualization skills. VR/AR platforms are a part of digital media, and special applications which focuses on the instruction of the visualizations skills can be developed with the support of the features and attributes of this media. Current best practices...
