Abstract
In this paper, a method for analyzing data gathered by a non-destructive inspecting approach of carbon-fiber composites is presented. In the process of composite probing a map of measurements is obtained. Upon the measurements an analysis can be performed in order to decide if the composite under examination is defective or not. The map is composed of a set of separate probes, which may be viewed as a set of pixels and, therefore, whole map can be perceived as an image. For this reason, image-based processing has been applied to examine the maps. The proposed method allows to detect suspicious regions with different, user-defined sensitivity.
