KIISA: Towards a Reference Architecture for Integrated Knowledge Services

  • Conference paper

Part of the book series: Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing ((AISC,volume 323))

Abstract

Knowledge management and knowledge-based systems can be critical to organizations and their success. Integration of knowledge resources in existing information systems can help improve decision making and possibly drive efficiency gains in business processes. We present an architecture that integrates knowledge acquired from data and experts into the current information system environment in the social welfare domain. This supports the use of knowledge in critical service administration processes to support decision making. We discuss the implications of using this architecture to support the knowledge management capability of the domain.
