Abstract
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for Rapid Transit System (RTS) applications has recently been adopted by several established railway system suppliers. However, the application of MBSE at the System-of-Systems (SoS) level remains less prevalent in the transportation industry. The adoption of MBSE using Systems Modelling Language (SysML) in this area would offers better management of SoS complexity, enhanced communications among stakeholders and greater support for RTS operators leveraging on models across the systems’ lifecycle.
