Abstract

At present, the price of many network systems adopted for weather forecast in cluster system is too high, while the Ethernet is cheap, and Ethernet is the type of competition conflict network, but the Ethernet and TCP/IP can’t meet the need of weather forecast computing which has the features of network traffics bursting and quasi real-time transmitting. To this end, we propose a Fibre-Channel-based Token-Routing Switch-Network (FC-Net, the technology has obtained a Chinese invention patent), and propose a new network communication protocol in which the efficient buffer management is the key to improve the data communication efficiency of. Experimental results show that our communication protocol, compared with other network systems, can effectively improve the data transmission rate.
