Abstract

The study aims to uncover some facts regarding the availability of courses of an online platform, Coursera and the comparison of MOOCs to a standard curriculum. Two questionnaires were designed and conducted for the pilot and the main study. Specific questions such as: (1) What other online learning platforms have students used before? (2) What are the top three courses which are not provided in their curriculum but are demanded? And (3) How popular might English-taught Coursera courses be to students of Applied Foreign Languages? are asked.
