Abstract

To support decision-making, several visual data mining methods were developed to facilitate visual analysis and extraction of hidden and interesting patterns, particularly from temporal data. Such patterns allow decision-makers to timely and quickly recognize, gain insight and interpret the knowledge in their temporal visual representation. In this paper, a visualization method is proposed to articulate the knowledge produced by these temporal patterns. This method was applied to generate a patterns visualization tool to fight against nosocomial infections in the intensive care units to prove its viability.
