1 Introduction

When taking pictures and browsing pictures occupy most of our lives, It becomes a trend that how to design the mobile phone to adapt to the behavior of people to take pictures [1]. According to the famous social media FACE BOOK revealed in the white paper, till the middle of September 2013, the company’s daily average of 1 billion 150 million users upload photos, the total number of photos uploaded to the site is 250 billion. Facebook’s photo sharing site lnstagram upload million photos a day, that means 16 billion mobile phone cameras or digital cameras will become the mainstream of photography. In Chinese mobile phone market, mobile phones that take cameras as selling point has become popular For example, Ipone6s has launched a very attractive camera function, and press the volume key on the left side can take photos quickly, without this function, taking photos by one hand is not convenient. This is an upgrade in man-machine interaction.

In this paper, we take the Iphone7’s camera as an example, to explore the interaction between the mobile phone camera and the relationship between the user, in this study, these following research questions are put forward: (1) The difference of user’s interaction in the use of mobile phone camera. (2) Whether there is a change in the use of mobile phone camera gestures to user habits? (3) The problem when users use the camera to take pictures. (4) Whether users can solve the existing problems by using a variety of interactive gestures. (5) What kind of gestures that users would like adopt to take photos by phones.

This paper selected 20 young people aged 20–30 as experimental subjects, and they have different occupations, different genders, ask them to take photos by Iphone7, and fill the questionnaires [2].

2 Mobile Camera Operation Process

Use the Iphone7’s camera general operating process is divided into three steps:

Use the Iphone7’s camera from the up and down tuning keys to take photos is divided into three steps:

  1. 1.

    Click on the phone camera APP.

  2. 2.

    Press the any one of the right side on Iphone7 can take pictures.

  3. 3.

    The third step: click the Home button to return to the interface.

Use the Iphone7’s mobile camera shortcut to take camera is divided into four steps:

  1. 1.

    Slide the up menu (Fig. 1), the phone camera has the fixed position in the upper right corner of the menu.

    Click on the phone camera App.

  3. 3.

    Click the Home button to return to the interface.

Before release the instructions, to ensure that 20 people in the same laboratory, age between 20–30 years old, to ensure in the experimental there has 10 males and 10 females, and choose the subjects who are familiar with the Iphone7 (Fig. 4).

Instruction 1: use a single hand to open the phone7’s camera application, to complete the whole process of taking picture, and then change another hand to open the camera application, record the time required to complete the process.

Instruction two: use single hand by shortcuts to open the mobile phone camera application, to complete the whole process of taking picture, then change another hand to open mobile phone camera application, record the time required to complete the process.

Instruction three: use the Iphone7 to Press the any one of the right side on Iphone7, then record the time have to spent.

The experimental results are as follows:

In the first instruction, under the single hand to use the mobile phone camera applications to complete the photo process, It took 4.87 s on average, the longest time is 6.31 s, the least time is 3.96 s. Use the both hands to complete the whole process of taking photos, it has spent 4.29 s on average, the longest time is 6.6 s, the least time is 3.35 s.

In the second instruction, use the single hand to complete the process of Iphone7’s shortcuts, it has spend 3.91 s on average, the longest time is 5.63 s, the least time is 2.56 s. Use the both hands to complete the process of taking photos with shortcuts, it spent 3.42 s on average, the longest time is 4.11 s, and the least time is 2.98 s.

In the third instruction, using a singer hand to complete the photo process by mobile phone’s tuning key, it spend 4.37 s on average, the longest time is 5.81 s, the least time is 2.81 s. Use the both hands to complete the process of taking photos with tuning key it spent 3.32 s on average, the longest time is 5.26 s, the least time is 2.36 s. Among the whole experiment, it has two errors in one hand operation of the camera to take pictures of that two experimental process is not recorded in the results.

The experimental results are as follows form (Fig. 5):

According to the experimental instruction one, two and three of the results, on the one hand operation in the process of the instruction, an open mobile phone application process complete spend 4.87 s on average, in the second instruction, using tuning keys on the Iphone7’s left side are spend 3.91 s on average, use the shortcut in the third instruction complete are spend 4.37 s on average. When use two hands of the operating process, open the mobile phone application instruction process complete are spend 4.29 s on average, the second instruction using the tuning keys on the Iphone7’s left side are spend 3.42 s on average, use the shortcut in the third instruction to take photo complete spend 3.32 s on average.

We can acquire this conclusion, use the single hand to operation, use the turning keys in the Iphone7’s left side this interactive way is faster than using open the application icon and use shortcut keys, in one hand operation than the other two more convenient. When use two hands to take operation process, the use of shortcuts to complete the process of taking pictures is faster than open application icon and tuning function keys are faster, may be faster than the other two hands.

In contrast to the one hand and two handed operation can be seen in the instruction of a single hand operation than the 0.5 hands to spend more than two seconds, in the second command, hands to operate more than one hand to spend more than 0.38 s. In order three, single hand operation time than hands operation time spend more than 1.05 s, the experiment results show that the interaction, regulating function in use on the side of the volume, single hand operation can be faster than hand operation, but in the interactive mode and instruction in instruction at a third, hands than a single hand use the results show use less time.

3 When Using a Mobile Phone Camera May Appear Gestures

In the course of the experiment, the 20 people recorded in the experiment using a mobile phone camera to take pictures of possible gestures [3].

    In the first instruction, a single hand to open the phone camera application for a complete picture of the process of hand gestures and gestures (Fig. 5).

The operation is closely related to the size of the phone and the size of the hand, and the Iphone7 is 4.7 inches in size, Iphone7 size is 4.7 inches, in this size, use two hands will be more stable, but single hand operation may laborious, especially for women.

While in the experimental second 2 with single hand did not succeed disposable. Description of a single hand because of the strength of the sideslip or finger on the phone’s surface area is not enough, or the size of the hand may affect the sideslip effect. While the hands will be more stable operation, no cases of sideslip unsuccessful (Fig. 7).

    Instructions, a single hand press the phone up and down the left and right tuning function keys, a complete picture of the process of gesture and hand gestures.

From the experiment the process of instruction in three, one finger in the left hand to operate the tuning key, when right hand operation will generally use two or three fingers, in the operation process, a reference to the two and three fingers are more likely to force, and when both hands, ten fingers and hand the dispersion of power and potential enough to support formed shape, the operation will be more stables (Fig. 8).

From the use of gestures can be concluded that, according to different people’s behavior habits or camera needs, will create more and more suitable for interactive gestures for camera service, with the appearance of the phone is also a big problem. And for the 4.7 inch size with Iphone7, both hands will be more comfortable than the use of a single hand.

4 Users in the Use of Mobile Phone Camera Will Produce Problems

There are several problems in the course of the experiment. (1) The finger could not touch the specified position of the user single hand operation; (2) Users may not hold the mobile phone with single hand when operating; (3) slip operation may fail with single hand. (4) When a single hand press the upper and lower keys, the finger may not have enough strength complete the whole process. (5) The newest version like Iphone7 change shortcut pull gesture to the mobile phone sliding mode, while some of the subjects are unable to adapt quickly [4].

5 Users of Mobile Phone Camera Shooting Look Interactive Gestures

In the course of the experiment, the interactive mode of the mobile phone camera which is expected to be improved can be inquired and recorded. (1) In the mobile phone interface can appear a slide camera icon, you can slide to any location in the interface of the user in a single hand operation. (2) Can be considered in the open cell phone application, without the use of fingers, you can accurately take pictures of things. (3) Under the condition of beautiful appearance, the width of the mobile phone can be more suitable for the proportion of the human hand.

6 Conclusion

In this paper, from a single cluster of mobile phone camera this aspects to study the interaction using a mobile phone camera, with a questionnaire from one or two hands respectively on the mobile phone application icon camera and the left button to adjust the volume and shortcut operation respectively to test, to provide certain data analysis for interactive mobile phone camera, in the analysis of the Iphone7 mobile phone camera interaction problems but also for mobile phone camera provides user demand.

Iphone mobile as a beacon in the mobile phone market, constantly in the innovation and development, to bring convenience to our lives at the same time also quietly changing our way of life. The interaction has become a hot topic in many aspects of today’s society of science and technology and design in the field of mobile phone has already become an important partner in our daily life, can reflect the importance of mobile phone in all aspects of basic necessities of life, make life better interaction with our mobile phone, for our service.
