Highlights of Practical Applications of Cyber-Physical Multi-Agent Systems (PAAMS 2017)

Abstract

Nature of mining processes realised in the room-and-pillar system, utilising many types of machines and appliances, as well as their multi-stage structure and dispersion on a large area, make these processes suitable to be modelled by multiagent systems. In the paper, these processes are described for the needs of a managerial model of technical infrastructure used during mining an ore deposit. For this purpose, the BPMN notation was used. Complex relationships between the environment describing the mining field and the agents representing individual types of machines and appliances are specified. A schematic multiagent model of ore extraction in an underground mine is suggested, with the goal to increase productivity at unchanged ore production level.
