Abstract

Eine signifikante Verbesserung der informationstechnischen Unterstützung bei gleichzeitiger Begrenzung des Aufwands ist in vielen Situationen nur über die Migration eines alten Informationssystems auf ein neues realisierbar. Die betroffenen Unternehmen sehen sich dabei häufig mit bisher unbekannten Aufgaben und komplexen Fragestellungen konfrontiert. Dieser Beitrag zeigt auf Basis einer empirischen Untersuchung von Migrationsprojekten, welche wesentlichen Faktoren den Erfolg einer Migration maßgeblich beeinflussen und bietet damit einen Orientierungsrahmen für die Planung und Durchführung von Migrationsprojekten.
