Abstract

Resource usage cost is an important aspect of resource management in a grid system. This paper describes an approach to evaluate communication cost in terms of the IP address of participants. According to the way of the settlement in the Internet, we use autonomous system (AS) relationships and AS path to evaluate. We also present an approach to infer AS relationships from BGP routing tables.
