Abstract
The fast development of Web Services enables Geo spatial data and functionality to be shared in a distributed computing environment. However, Industry standards of Web Services, such as UDDI are not power enough for automated services discovery, binding and composition. The main inhibitor is the lack of semantics in the description of Web Services and discovery process. In this paper, pattern of Geo Web Services based on Ontology is proposed, which employs Ontology to advertise Geo Web Services and uses them for semantics-based discovery of relevant Geo Web Services. Composition of Geo Web Services for the requirement of complex task is also based on Ontology if it is necessary.
