Abstract

The second phase of the Korean Brain Neuroinformatics Research Program had completed by June 2004, and the 3rd phase had started from July 2004 for 4 years. Since the 3rd phase is regarded as the final phase of Korean brain national research program started from November 1998 for 10, the 3rd phase program aims for the system integration of the developed technologies as well as continuation of previous research efforts on basic technologies for artificial vision, auditory, inference, and behaviour systems. The system integration will come as a “digital brain” to combine all the 4 functions, and an integrated demonstration system, i.e., “artificial secretary” alias “OfficeMate” with exceptional human-like information processing capabilities. Researches on measurement and signal analysis for neuroscience are also included as the infrastructure. It is a joint effort of researchers from many different disciplines including neuroscience, cognitive science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, computer science, etc.
