Abstract

This paper presents a new approach for digital image watermarking providing robustness to geometrical distortions. As embedding watermark by the object, we can detect the embedded watermark having no concern with geometrical attacks. After selecting the area of object, we scan it by the direction of the major axis. Because the size of watermark inserted is always fixed we can detect the embedded watermark by adjusting the size of the selected object to that of the original watermark. Experimental results show that the proposed object-based watermarking algorithm invariantly detects the embedded watermark from the watermarked images.
