Abstract
This Colloquium is to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the United Nations University, International Institute for Software Technology (UNU/IIST), and this essay is to brief readers about UNU and UNU/IIST. UNU is the only university of the United Nations. UNU/IIST is a research and training center of UNU with a mission to strengthen the capabilities of developing countries in software technology.
