Abstract

Changing customers’ behavior require a dramatic change for future manufacturing control concepts. Emerging technologies for distributed application, networking, and intelligent information processing pave the way to reach economic lot size one manufacturing systems. Holonic Manufacturing System provides an approach aiming at this objective. The approach proposed in this work deals with the enhancement of Holons by Web Services for seamless integration in business processes and facilitated reconfigurable shop floor control.
