Abstract
For effective e-business, an enterprise must move business information among diverse sources to perform complex business transactions, and it must process business information through heterogeneous applications that may run on different platform and use different types of DBMS, etc. Moreover, to make the business processes more intelligent and reactive, an enterprise should integrate its information sources and also adapt the changes in a timely manner that might have detected automatically or semi-automatically by monitoring and analyzing the information sources, and by correlating events occurring in information sources so that timely business decision can be taken.
