Abstract
This paper presents a novel approach to build a real-time high performance virtual disk monitor based on multi-core EFI, which keeps file system’s integrity and mobility simultaneously. This monitor supports both file-level and block-level protection for general FAT file system. Data image can be dynamically loaded from various devices such as disk drives and even from a USB flash drive. A prototype system has been designed and implemented. Experiments show great performance merits for this unique virtual disk monitor.
This project is supported by Intel Corporation and SJTU under the Contracts No. 4507258277 and No. 4507255994.
