Abstract

An active suspension system for vehicles using fuzzy logic controls is presented in this paper. The model is described by a linear system with six degrees of freedom, subject to irregular excitations from the road surface. Based on control theory, the fuzzy control system of the active suspension is proposed. With the aid of software Matlab/simulink, a lot of simulation process is done. Simulation results indicate that the proposed active suspension system proves to be effective in the vibration isolation of the suspension system. What’s more, a mechanical dynamic animation of six-degree-of -freedom half body of vehicle suspension system is obtained, with the aid of software ADAMS and media player. The animation demonstrates the mechanism principle of suspension system more vividly and visually.
