Abstract

A method of the open motion controlling system based on PC and motion card was introduced to improve the corresponding system of a self-developed structured grating 3D measuring machine. PC was used as the core operation unit of the system, and the whole motion controlling was manipulated by the motion card in this method. In addition, the motion controlling software was developed using Microsft Visual C++ as a tool. After combined adjustment of the 3D measuring machine equipped with the above mentioned motion controlling system, the result shows that the mothod of PC and motion control card provides a higher positioning accuracy and quicker response speed, which is benefit for the further research.
