Abstract
In this study, we develop an error-estimation model for embedded software development projects and implement a visual tool for displaying the estimation results. The model to estimate the number of errors use regression analysis. Because, the regression analysis is basic statistical way and that developers easily understand. In addition, we implement a visual tool displaying the results of the model. The tool helps developers judge specifically and objectively a quality of a project. It is independent of the model, then, manager and developers can use it with other models. Hence, the tool is effective and can be used in a wide range of areas. Moreover,we perform evaluation experiments of our error estimation model and visual tool. The results indicate the model and visual tool are effective for checking and controlling qualities of embedded software.
