Abstract
Digital audio effect is a digital signal processing technique used to modify or modulate an audio signal to make it have some special hearing effect such as reverberation and flanging. Starting from a discussion of the general model for the generation of digital flanging effect, this paper presents an improved model for flanging effect generation. Simulation experiments are done and the performances of the two models are compared. The results show that the new model can enrich the harmonic components and enhance the flanging effect. The new flanging model is also examined for different modulation waveforms.
