Abstract
A multiagent system performing distributed monitoring of its environment is considered. Given dynamic nature of the environment, load incurred by monitoring tasks on individual agents varies over time, and may sometimes cause their overload. In this paper a simplified, abstract model of such system is presented. This model was used to develop methods of local task redistribution based on problem of process migration in distributed computing systems. Proposed methods were implemented using JADE, and a preliminary simulation was conducted in order to compare them.
