Abstract

Evaluation of digital library is an essential process in the library development. However, the digital library is a complex system, which needs a lot of indices included in the evaluation. Up to now, there is still no scientific and rational comprehensive evaluation method developed, which become the urgent problem in the digital library evaluation. In this paper, a novel evaluation method is put forward based on the structured element of intuitionistic fuzzy multi-attribute decision-making, which can comprehensively assess the indices such as holdings, techniques, service and management. This method may promote the discovery of essential factors and their relationship, and benefit the improvement in every aspect to serve the readers better.
