Abstract

An e-learning web application for telepediatrics education is presented. Semantic web technology is used in the design and development of the platform. The platform offers personalized e-learning services using various developed agents. A Web Service was also developed to monitor a child’s electrocardiograph from distance. Quality assurance aspects fullfilled are reliability of information included, understandability and accuracy of the content, disclosure related to the purpose of the smart website, inclusion of links so that the user can compare the information and make sure that is trustworthy, user friendly design, inclusion of feedback and alerts.
