Abstract

In order to improve lack of GA, we combined it with case-based reasoning(CBR) and constructing non-isomorphic layout pattern (NILP) to solve layout problem in this paper. Its basic idea includes 2 components: (1) initial population of GA consists of reasoning solutions of current layout problem attained from case database, their NILP solutions and random solutions; (2) For every generation of optimization, a NILP solution of the current best individual is used in replacing the worse one in the population. The experimental results demonstrate good performance of approach in the paper on quality of solution and computational efficiency.
