Abstract

In this paper we set out an approach to distribute the evaluation of a rule-based engine over a wireless sensor network. We propose the use of genetic algorithms to calculate a good distribution of the rule evaluation. This way, we pretend to avoid the need of having a base station connected to the WSN, where the reasoning is done in a centralized way.
