Abstract

Inter-cell Co-Channel Interference (ICCI) is a severe problem suffered by cell-edge users in multi-cell OFDMA system, an adaptive interference coordination (AIC) algorithm based on Iterative Water-Filling (IWF) algorithm for multi-cell is proposed. Cell-edge users and cell-center users have different priorities. The resource allocated to cell-edge users is adjusted after each convergence. The convergence of AIC algorithm is verified by simulation. The performance is compared with I-IWF [6] algorithm. Simulation results show that AIC can improve cell-edge users’ performance effectively while guarantee no big loss in total system capacity and fairness of users.

This work is supported by sub-project of the new generation broadband wireless mobile communication network of the National Science and Technology Major Projects (2009ZX03003-003) and the 111 Project of China (B08038).
