Abstract

The main objective of the paper is to present the OBCAS - an ontology-based cluster analysis system that was implemented in Java. The system takes as an input the data described by an ontology, allows the user to choose individuals, and produces the similarity matrix. The core component of this system is a module that counts three kinds of similarity measures: taxonomy, relationship and attribute. The current outcome of the system is an aggregate similarity matrix that can be further processed by any statistical package.
