Abstract
The Article presents the concept of intelligent transportation system, which could be implemented in copper mines. The task of such a system is intelligent and safe management of the horizontal transport by means of band conveyors. The solutions described here are aimed at showing how the transport could be automated, the problems signalled and the modern band conveyor systems utilised optimally.
