Abstract

This paper describes an implementation of fuzzy logic control system for guiding a wheelchair. For this purpose, a dedicated architecture of fuzzy logic controller was elaborated in FPGA circuit. Input and output linguistic variables and corresponding fuzzy sets were defined and based on those, a fuzzy rule address was formed. The proposed fuzzy system drives two permanent magnet DC motors of the wheelchair.
